The UK’s National Outsourcing Association has launched an employee satisfaction survey as part of its Outsourcing Works campaign. The survey aims to find out what conditions are really like for employees working at outsourcers across all industries and to gather evidence to prove or refute  UK public perception that outsourcing is not a good industry. Evidence is always a good thing and so I urge employees to complete it and forward it on to friends and colleagues in the industry.

If Future Processing is anything to go by (we have an average staff retention rate of around 5 years), I feel sure that among software development outsourcers, at least, satisfaction will actually be very high. But more importantly, I hope the NOA to split the results by industry and by region so we can learn from the high achievers and understand which sectors need more attention from the industry as a whole.
