Recently, we signed an agreement with the vice chancellor of the University of Silesia, setting out the joint-working and wider relationship between our two organisations. The agreement formalizes our long-standing partnership. For several years, Future Processing has worked with the University of Silesia in a range of ways, including educational projects, research studies, dissertations and curriculum content, joint postgraduate studies and equipping laboratories at the university. The goal of all this co-operation has been improving the quality of computer science and engineering degrees.
Additionally, Future Processing and the University also jointly organize several events, such as the lecture series Best Practice in Software Development which is delivered by the experts from FP. The University also supports several conferences organized by Future Processing like: WUD Silesia, QA Events and Deadline 24.This year Future Processing also sponsored the first Graduate Student Picnic. The partnership with the Univeristy of Silesia is the third formal academic co-operation agreement we have. Our first was with the Silesian University of Technology and earlier this year we also signed an agreement with the Technical University of Opole. Some companies wonder why we commit effort and resource into such academic partnerships, but our rationale remains the same as it did when we began co-operating with academic institutions around ten years ago. We can see direct, future benefit in the way such investments will help develop the Polish industry as a whole, as well as Future Processing in particular.
