COMPESO has been the pillar of the cinema industry in Germany and beyond since the 1990s, when the company launched WinTICKET, a solution enabling cinema owners to grow their business.

Business challenge
With their commitment to innovation, COMPESO was looking for a long-term external technology partner that would support them in delivering software to address the changing needs of their market. To help their customers grow sales, the client’s particular focus was frontend.
Scope of work
Our team worked on two solutions:
- CineOrder Webshop – development of an existing web-based, customer-facing portal for the sales of tickets and additional cinema services, such as snacks, drinks, or film gadgets.
- Admin Tool – development of a back office software from scratch enabling the configuration of cinema rooms, sales, promotions, etc.
The projects were run in Scrum/Scumban and focused around frontend with teams providing some periodic support with backend development.

Going beyond software development
Apart from pure delivery of new features, we act as the client’s technical consultant for matters related with frontend and QA, in particular automated testing. We also introduced good UX practices in the technical layer of the applications and offered suggestions on improving software delivery processes.
